10 Worst WWE PPV Matches Of 2020 (So Far)

4. Universal Title Handicap Match (Backlash)

Somehow, WWE's fascination with handicap matches got worse.

The company paused Braun's Universal Title feud with Bray Wyatt to book Strowman against comedic pranksters The Miz and John Morrison at Backlash. "Hey Hey, Ho Ho"? More like, "Hey Hey, OH NO!". Yes, that was every bit as credible a joke as the tag-team were as championship challengers on WWE's latest pay-per-view.

A little over seven minutes elapsed before Braun cut down his would-be co-champions and once again roared to nobody in particular as he posed with his belt. It's damning to say this, but the Universal Title was more effective around the waist of the occasionally-missing Bray Wyatt than it is over Braun's shoulder every week.

Wyatt wouldn't have had to work a mini-feud like this to plug a hole in his schedule. He'd have just buggered off for a while and left everyone guessing. Braun, as a babyface, doesn't really have the luxury, and that's why he's on this list more than once.
