10 Worst WWE PPVS Of The 2000s

3. Armageddon 2004

Why It Sucked Lots of reasons. Tough Enough Kids Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin versus Daniel Puder in a boxing match? Funaki versus Spike Dudley? Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly versus The Basham Brothers? Dawn Marie versus Jackie Gayda? John Cena versus, erm, Jesus? Kurt Angle versus freakin' Santa Claus? Okay, that last one was pretty entertaining, but most of those matches were just so 'meh'. They were matches you'd expect to see on Smackdown. Some of them wouldn't look out of place on Velocity. Quite frankly, they belonged on the little-seen weekend show and shouldn't have been anywhere near a PPV. Yes, this was as crappy as you could get. There's some talent there, but they either weren't over enough or won't being used properly on this show. Did Anything Redeem It? There were, admittedly, a couple of decent matches but they couldn't quite make up for the pitiful undercard. Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio's Tag Team Title defence against Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki was decent and the four-way WWE Title main event, which was JBL defend against The Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero and Booker T, certainly had its moments. So it was bookended by two good matches but, as an overall show, though, this wasn't worth yours, mine, anyone's time.
