The man, the myth, the legend: Outback Jack. A blatant ripoff of Crocodile Dundee, Outback Jack made his WWE debut the same year the monster Paul Hogan film was released. His run in the company would only last two years as the gimmick didn't quite take off. The WWE would continually deny they were biting the film's style but the similarities are too much to ignore. Having a knife in any facet of a gimmick would never work today, especially in your promotional 8x10's. In the WWE's case it wasn't much of a worry as Jack was released in 1988, and has rarely popped up in the public eye since. If he were making the rounds on the convention circuit waving these around the company may have an issue with it. Just another indication of how much the WWE has changed in the past 30 years.
