When The Undertaker entered the 1993 Royal Rumble, it was difficult, at first, to pinpoint another Superstar in the match capable of eliminating the Deadman from the contest. As fans found out though, it would not be a fellow participant that ended the night for the former WWE champion. Instead, it would be a monstrous newcomer from Argentina, clad in the worst tights imaginable. The Giant Gonzalez stalked toward the ring, moving with all the speed of a debilitated snail. Once inside, he hesitated. Then he stalled. Then he hesitated some more. Finally, he took one step forward. Then The Undertaker took a step forward. Gonzalez responded by...well, by standing around and looking nervous. Seconds passed, feeling more like hours. He took another step forward and Undertaker responded in kind. Gonzalez proceeded to beat the Deadman around the squared circle, then sent him over the top rope and to the arena floor. There, he pummeled the previously invincible star, leaving him lying unconscious following a steel post-assisted assault. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xe02zh_giant-gonzalez-debut_lifestyle It was the birth of a rivalry that would lead to a truly putrid WrestleMania IX match, one which ranks as the absolute worst in the Phenom's lineage at the Showcase of the Immortals.
