The 1999 Royal Rumble is arguably the worst in the history of the match, a one hour drudge that centred around the first two combatants, one of whom barely spent any time in the ring. The feud between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mr. McMahon had given the WWF the edge in the Monday Night Wars, but just as WCW had overplayed its hand with the New World Order, WWF was doing the same here.

Still, there were 28 other competitors in the match, and the number 30 entrant managed to make a little history along the way. Chyna had earned that spot by winning a Corporation vs. DX 'Corporate Rumble' on RAW, shockingly eliminating Mr. McMahon last to gain the coveted spot. She entered the '99 Rumble to a pretty decent pop, a reaction that grew when she almost immediately eliminated Mark Henry.

Chyna herself was immediately tossed out by Stone Cold, ending the first ever female Royal Rumble entry after a rather disappointing 35 seconds. Chyna would also enter the 2000 Royal Rumble, and she actually managed to improve on her history-making performance, lasting 37 seconds and eliminating Chris Jericho along the way.
