10 Worst WWE World Champions Ever - Where Are They Now?

6. Dean Ambrose

Jack Swagger World Heavyweight Champion
WWE/AEW

Title: WWE Title

Length: 84 Days (19 June-11 September 2016).

Where He Is Now: This might be personal opinion, but your writer thought Dean Ambrose as WWE Champion sucked. He was immediately blown out of the water by following champ AJ Styles, and really struggled to convince as a top babyface whilst holding the belt.

Matches against old Shield pals Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins proved decent, but a singles vs. Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam 2016 came and went without much fanfare. Dean's interest in WWE life began fading after that, and he decided to take the plunge by leaving in 2019.

AEW was waiting.

Of course, that's where Jon Moxley is now. He's worked several runs as AEW World Champion, but currently heads up the Blackpool Combat Club group alongside Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta.
