It's pretty painful to look back on the card at WrestleMania XXVI and realise that there were no fewer than five matches that would have been better openers than Show-Miz vs. R-Truth and John Morrison. The implosion of Legacy, a MITB Ladder stunt show, Triple H vs. Sheamus, Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk and the World Title match pitting Chris Jericho against Edge were all available to WWE.

They went with the least interesting one instead.

Show-Miz felt like a second-rate Jeri-Show even back in 2010, and Truth/Morrison were such a thrown-together pairing that it was hard to take them seriously as a threat to the Tag-Team Titles. Combine that with a ridiculous three-minute length and the match was a disaster that deserved to be buried in the "death spot" pre-main event.

For the record, a tedious Bret Hart beat down on Vince McMahon later in the same show got a full 11 minutes of ring time. Meanwhile, the Tag Titles were treated like 'Mania's biggest afterthought.
