Now is as good a time as any to question Truth too.

In fairness, his run of hijinks with the goofy 24/7 Title has produced some worthwhile laughs over the past year or so. Truth was also the perfect guy for WWE to place in this role, but it's long-past tired comedy by now and needs a rest. The guy has had 36 title reigns with the joke belt, for crying out loud.

This year, WWE has experimented with R-Truth outside the 24/7 gimmick too. It hasn't been great - his gauntlet sprint at Super ShowDown, where he beat Bobby Lashley, Andrade, and Erick Rowan before succumbing to AJ Styles, was the kind of thing one would expect to see on house shows, not pay-per-view.

Truth's match against Lashley at Money In The Bank also ranked as one of the worst pay-per-view matches of WWE's year so far. He can be funny, and he is an endearing character, but the 24/7 Title shenanigans have become so tedious.
