10 WrestleMania 31 Matches Seriously Being Discussed Right Now

9. Seth Rollins Vs Randy Orton

Similar to nearly all of the potential match-ups on this list, a lot depends on this. Firstly, when will Randy Orton return? Secondly, will Rollins cash in the briefcase before WrestleMania or after? Also, will this match be rushed through for one of the pre-Mania PPV€™s? Either way, this is the final chapter in a story that needs to be told. Orton was decimated by The Authority several weeks ago and hasn€™t been seen since (because he€™s on a pesky island being hunted down in The Condemned 2). A face-turn seems inevitable and, although The Authority is no more, Rollins is still the alpha-heel in WWE and stands shoulder to shoulder with Kane and J&J Security. Orton needs his revenge. The reason why this match would work better at WrestleMania 31 is because it would allow WWE to give it a slow build. Orton could return at the Rumble and effectively eliminate the shell that remains of The Authority. Fast forward a few more weeks, and at the next PPV (allegedly not Elimination Chamber) Orton could finally take down Kane, etc. leaving only Rollins. Move forward to WrestleMania and there they both stand, eyeball to eyeball, on the grandest stage of them all. Their styles mesh well and either man could win and it wouldn€™t hurt the loser (Orton would no doubt get payback the next night on RAW and Rollins (potentially) has a certain briefcase he could cash in). This would be one of those matches that a huge PPV like WrestleMania needs. Every match needs to look important and that€™s why it€™s hoped WWE Creative don€™t rush this one through for January.
