10 WrestleMania 31 Matches Seriously Being Discussed Right Now

5. John Cena Vs Roman Reigns

Although there are several important match-ups involving Lesnar ahead of us on this list, this one has to be mentioned if WWE Creative decide to panic and take the title of Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. It literally hangs on that pay-per-view. Lesnar€™s title reign has been a bit of a damp squib because, for all of Paul Heyman€™s quite correct assertions that Lesnar is a PPV €˜attraction€™, the fans needs to see the champion far more regularly. In boxing and MMA, we€™re quite happy to wait a while before we see the champ, but WWE is a weekly product with monthly PPV€™s, it needs a presence. Creative might well feel this too and, although it now makes sense to keep the title on Brock until WrestleMania (they might as well now) if they change their minds then Cena could quite conceivably take the title off The Beast at the Royal Rumble. Who would face him though? Well, the man who will no doubt win the Rumble...Roman Reigns. This match would really feel like a passing of the torch sort of match. How WWE would book two faces in the main event would be tricky (hell, they nearly went with two heels last year, even if Batista was supposed to be the returning hero). Also, if Reigns didn€™t win, this match would feel like a bit of a waste of time. Either way, with no disrespect to the two, it€™s hard to get too excited about this match-up because two faces going against each other in the headline match doesn€™t really write the headlines.
