10 WrestleMania 32 Mistakes WWE Must Avoid This Year
6. Don't Shoehorn In Needless Stipulations
WrestleMania 33’s current match card is somewhat lacking in stipulations, and while everybody loves some table-smashing carnage, it only really makes sense if it’s warranted.
There’s probably a great sense of temptation in
WWE creative to tack on a stipulation for at least one of the currently
announced matches. The multi-woman Smackdown title match seems like the most
likely bet, since the show is currently lacking a chaotic Money in the
Bank-style ladder match, something WrestleMania has had for the last several
years without much rhyme or reason.
Shoving ladders into a feud where they aren’t welcome is a lazy move, particularly when there are rivalries on the card that would benefit from – and are suited to – the addition of some foreign objects. If Corbin vs Ambrose goes ahead for the Intercontinental Championship (which it should), then it makes sense for that match to have a No DQ stipulation of some sort. Their entire feud began inside the Elimination Chamber, and has progressed via Baron Corbin’s excessive use of weapons.
You could even say the same of AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon. There’s arguably enough hatred there on both sides to warrant some tables and chairs, and going full hardcore is arguably the only way Shane has a chance of winning.
