10 WrestleMania 33 Mistakes WWE Can’t Repeat At 34

4. Relying On Part-Time Names In Major Spots

Scan the WrestleMania 33 card, and you'll notice several part-time names punctuating the match line-up. Shane McMahon, John Cena, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Bill Goldberg and The Undertaker all worked limited match schedules in 2017. It'd be sweet if WWE done away with this reliance on the old guard.

We're not suggesting none of these men ever work a 'Mania card again: far from it. WWE just need to be smarter with how they drip-feed these names out over the year. Seeing them all packed onto the biggest show, when others could be doing with that spotlight, is a tad unnerving.

It comes back to bite WWE too when most of these stars swan off post-WrestleMania.

Take Payback, the first Raw pay-per-view after 'Mania, for example. New Universal Champion Brock Lesnar wasn't even on the show, and that fact left the event looking like the very definition of 'B' level fare. If WWE can get away from WrestleMania being all about the part-time crew, it'll only benefit their future.
