10 WrestleMania Matches That Shouldn't Have Sucked (But Did)
10. Roddy Piper vs. Bad News Brown (WrestleMania VI)
In the Spring of 1990, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper wasn't really looked upon the same way he had been right before he elected to step away from the ring several years earlier, mainly to pursue a career in other forms of entertainment such as movies and music. Returning in 1989, the Canadian was now a fully-fledged babyface, having endeared himself to audiences with his performances over the years. Programmed opposite the heel, Bad News Brown, Piper decided to do something a little different to help make their WrestleMania VI match stand out, and it's not something any performer would get away with nowadays! Bizarrely wearing what can only be described as a Michael Jackson glove, Piper was also painted half-black - maybe this was foreshadowing the Jackson track, 'Black Or White', which would be released the next year. Designed to up the ante for their bout, the match itself was nothing special, and ended in a disappointing double countout. Generally, that's not the kind of outcome fans respond well to at WrestleMania, where people expect firm conclusions. A brawl between the men should have been memorable, but it's only notable for Piper's choice of body paint.
