10 WrestleMania Matches That Shouldn't Have Sucked (But Did)

5. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan (WrestleMania XXVIII)

Any fans of the past few years have heard all about this one. Daniel Bryan and Sheamus had been bumped off the main card of WrestleMania the previous year, but their scrap for the World Heavyweight Championship was all set to kick start 'Mania XXVIII with a bang, surely lighting up the audience and setting the tone for the show. Who knows what the WWE creative team were thinking, starting out WrestleMania in this way, but Sheamus would defeat Bryan in around 18 seconds, making him look like a complete jobber in the process. This is a rare entry on this list, because much like the Roberts vs. Rude match previously, these guys weren't really given a chance by the writing staff. Daniel Bryan would eventually get his big moment at 'Mania 2 years later, winning the WWE Title in the main event, but this wasn't a very memorable first WrestleMania for the man. What an easy night for both guys, but when it comes to the biggest show of the year, hard workers such as Bryan and Sheamus want to tear the house down.
