10 Wrestler Allegiance Switches That Must Happen In 2022
2. CM Punk - Heel
"There are good guys in this world and there are bad guys in this world. Make no mistake about it, I am a bad, bad man".
That is a direct quote from CM Punk when explaining the reason behind his last heel turn, all the way back in 2012 after he turned of The Rock in the shocking conclusion of Raw 1000. There are some wrestlers that are talented enough to play both sides of the coin with perfection and Punk is one of them. With the microphone in his hand, he has the power to make you love him more than your own mother or hate him more than your worst enemy depending on how he feels on the day. He is just that talented at playing a strong character.
Arguably, most of Punk's most memorable moments have come as a bad guy. The bulk of his 434 Day WWE Title reign, his feud with Jeff Hardy, his feud with The Undertaker and the famous pipebomb promo were all delivered as a heel, so it is no secret that the man can be a right basta*d. He's already shown heel tendencies with his Eddie Kingston feud, so the fire is still there, so it's about time that he flips the switch fully and remind us all how bad of a man he truly is.
