10 Wrestler Allegiances That Must Happen In 2016

2. Finn Balor Leads His Own European Stable

If you are a wrestling fan, then you love Finn Balor. The Irishman has already made a name for himself on the NXT brand and seems destined to debut on the main roster shortly. However, WWE has to be extremely careful with him because they may have only one shot with Balor. He's already north of 30 and, if they can't get him over the first time, there might not be a second time. Balor already has one thing going for him and that's the Demon persona. The problem is that Vince McMahon might only see the Demon persona and have him portray it every single time he wrestles, thus ruining the purpose and coolness factor of it. Soon enough, Balor would be treading water with the rest of the midcard guys, no longer doing exactly what made him popular in the first place. However, there is a way to get Balor onto the main roster while still protecting his persona and saving it for the big matches: Make him the leader of a heel stable. In my mind, I see Balor leading a stable of Wade Barrett, Sheamus, and Becky Lynch. Balor and Lynch are from Ireland and have a long-standing friendship that was documented on WWE television, so that wouldn't be much of a stretch at all. Sheamus is also Irish and pretty much doing nothing except wrestling Randy Orton 381 times per month, so he's a natural fit alongside Wade Barrett who desperately needs an outlet for his talents. As head of the stable, Balor can show off his heel skills while also elevating other Irish and British wrestlers who are in need of a purpose. The Irish/British Four would be effective as single wrestlers or in any team combination, especially if you're mixing the speed of Balor with the power of Sheamus and the all-around skills of Barrett. Even Becky Lynch could bring her brand of Irish toughness to the group, acting as a Diva bully who punks out the bikini models posing as wrestlers.
