10 Wrestler Movie Cameos You Totally Missed
3. Kurrgan - 300
Despite having a relatively short pro wrestling career, the sheer size and height of Robert Maillet makes his run in late '90s WWF a memorable part of the Attitude Era.
As Kurrgan, Maillet was originally part of The Truth Commission stable, led by Don Callis (aka The Jackyl). However, his most noteworthy WWF role came as part of the bizarre mid-card act, The Oddities. As an Oddity, Kurrgan would accompany several other societal misfits, including The Insane Clown Posse, Luna Vachon, Giant Silva and Golga (Earthquake in a mask), among others.
Post- WWF, Maillet has appeared in several movies, usually as a monster, savage or hired thug, and even appeared alongside The Rock in Hercules. His most notable role to date was his part in the hugely successful on-screen adaptation of Frank Miller's 300, starring Gerard Butler.
Once again in the role of savage, Maillet played the 'Uber Immortal', a gigantic half-man/half-beast warrior set on destroying anything in his path. While Maillet is barely recognisable in his role, the part itself is a memorable addition to the plot and the scene is one of the most tense fights of the movie.
