...you know all about exactly how much he's breath he's taking in with every step he takes.

'The Million Dollar Man' was an exceptional all-rounder, managing to master the art of incredible southern states babyface and heel before perfecting the inspired Vince McMahon-adjacent caricature on a global stage.

His incredible laugh became an elevator pitch for the entire gimmick - needlessly bombastic and villainous to the point of cruelty, the cackle formed the sting for his entrance music and exclamation point on any abuse he'd just sent a babyface's way. But the gargled razor blade tones weren't all performative - Dibiase just had one of those voices.

Review almost any one of his matches and a close-up shot will reveal how any heavy breathing mid-match has a rasping vocal accompaniment. He'd even tweak it occasionally to try and wedge in a taunt, but once heard it's impossible not to spot any time he's near one of the many obscured microphones.
