10 Wrestlers Accused Of Stealing Another Wrestler’s Looks
6. Dolph Ziggler (From Trent)
It doesn't take much to make the internet wrestling community start believing a pair of wrestlers from rival companies are legitimately at odds with one another. One tweet usually does the trick.
This is something AEW's Trent found out after seemingly calling out WWE's Dolph Ziggler's choice of footwear during his 2019 feud with then-WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Opting for a different colour boot to the pristine white variety he'd boasted for much of his career, Ziggler was spotted bumping around the squared-circle in a pair of black shoes.
However, Trent quickly spotted the change of boot and couldn't resist taking a cheeky shot at Ziggles for seemingly copying the style of footgear the Best Friend had been donning for some time. Taking to Twitter, Trent simply tagged Ziggler in a post with the sentence, "nice boots you piece of s**t."
Trent would later clarify that this was simply a rib at Ziggler's expense on the social media platform, noting in a follow-up tweet, "The amount of people who thought this was a real thing and yelled at me for it is worrisome." Still, the WWE star did eventually revert back to his tried and tested white boots, so perhaps Trent's teasing words legitimately hit one of the Dirty Dawg's nerves.
