10 Wrestlers AEW Must Push In 2022
6. Ethan Page
Speaking of The Men of the Year, Ethan Page looks primed and ready for a bump up the card in the coming months.
For those who first saw him in Impact Wrestling, Page's transformation, both physical and psychological, has been nothing short of remarkable. Shedding a good 30-40lbs in the weights room and seriously upping the ante on his promos, 'All Ego' now carries himself like an old school NWA heel.
His supremely obnoxious mic work is enhanced by the energy and conviction with which he delivers his often delusional dialogue. Brimming with hyperactivity and an almost comical anger, Page's total commitment to character is admirable and more convincing than it has any right to be.
His work with Scorpio Sky and Dan Lambert has made him an effective heat magnet for the AEW faithful. While he's not quite at MJF's level yet, a stronger push and a move into either TNT or World Title contention could see him take over as the promotion's number one scumbag.
A black belt in both karate and taekwondo, Page could likely up the action-side of his matches by tapping into his impressive martial arts knowledge as well. In turn, he could be the total package in both work rate and character before the year's out and an effective foil for leading babyfaces like Hangman Page and CM Punk.
