10 Wrestlers AEW Must Push In 2022
7. Scorpio Sky
Can you believe Scorpio Sky is already 38? His moisturising routine must be exceptional...
The sky appeared to be the limit for Ethan Page's best bud when he first signed with AEW in 2019. With Kazarian, he was one half of the inaugural AEW Tag Team Champions. Better yet, he was presented as a main eventer in waiting and even landed a shot at then-AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.
However, after dropping the tag titles, Sky meandered through much of 2020, often finding himself in Dark purgatory. Despite his remarkable athleticism and wrestling ability, the former MMA fighter was lacking the necessary charisma and fire to really light up the main event scene.
As is so often the case with struggling babyfaces, all he really needed was a good heel turn. Since joining forces with Ethan Page, Sky has rediscovered his voice. While he's not as funny as Page or as utterly ridiculous as ATT head honcho Dan Lambert, he speaks with the right sort of arrogant conviction for the role he's now in. As the straight man to the goofballs surrounding him, Sky could gradually become a cool heel provided he doesn't eat too many losses.
The Men of the Year are very over right now and Sky, with a solid push, could easily become an entertaining, if rather insufferable, challenger for one of AEW's babyface champs this year.
