10 Wrestlers AEW MUST Sign Next

2. Allysin Kay

The 4 November AEW Dynamite broadcast brought with it a surprise, with Allysin Kay confirming to be debuting at that Saturday's Full Gear pay-per-view. She'd unsuccessfully challenge Serena Deeb for the NWA World Women's Championship on the Buy-In, doing so in an enthralling bout that brought new meaning to what a pre-show should be.

That she wasn't signed following this was a rare misstep for Tony Khan and co.

Kay was fresh out of her NWA contract, announcing her release literally the day before her AEW debut was announced. At the time of writing, the former IMPACT Knockouts Champion is slated to return to the company at the Empowerrr pay-per-view on 28 August; there, she and Marti Belle enter the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championships tournament.

It's unknown if this will mark a full-time, contracted return to the Billy Corgan-helmed promotion for Allysin, but regardless, the Forbidden Door is open. Kay could go to the NWA for Empowerrr, crop up on Dynamite a few days later, and then head to IMPACT Wrestling to challenge for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships, too.

Or, the more logical option, AEW can formally sign her. She's got the look of a heel champion who you can't wait to boo. She's a transcendent wrestler, delivering anywhere from a good match to a ****+ war. Watch back Full Gear's Buy In. She's a star there.
