3. Asuka

As already discussed, space for women at the Granddaddy of Them All is at a premium. As things stand there are a lot of women pushing for those spots. The title matches of course take precedence, Alexa Bliss has just returned, Bayley is hopefully on her way, and Sonya Deville and Naomi are surely building towards the crescendo of their months-long rivalry.

On the surface Asuka would seem like a no-brainer for a WrestleMania 38 spot. The multi-time Champion and former Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank winner is one of the top stars on the women’s roster. That said, creative would need to come up with a decent storyline for her and there needs to be room left on the card.

Ultimately WWE might decide to hold off her dramatic return as a way to boost ratings post-WrestleMania. After so long away, Asuka deserves to shine. It might actually be in “The Empress of Tomorrow’s” best interest to get her own spotlight, rather than sharing one with the likes of Cody Rhodes and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.
