10 Wrestlers Buried By Triple H

2. Sting

After being in professional wrestling for thirty years, Sting finally made his WWE debut in the fall of 2014 and immediately confronted Triple H. It was clear that WWE wanted to put Sting in the ring with Triple H at WrestleMania 31, which bummed some fans out because they were hoping to see the long-awaited dream match of Sting vs. Undertaker. Of course, if Sting and Undertaker were to meet at WrestleMania, Sting would likely be on the losing end of that battle, which seemed counterproductive on his WWE in-ring debut. Fans began to believe that WWE was simply putting him Sting the ring with Triple H so that he could score a big win then go on to face Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. The buildup to Sting vs. Triple H was centered around the long-since irrelevant WCW vs. WWE battle, which ended in 2001. While the storyline leading up to the match was absolutely ridiculous, the fans were still eager to see Sting's in-ring debut. Those same fans were completely baffled and bewildered when the match was over, because Triple H actually ended up beating 'The Icon' in one of the worst cases of ego-driven booking ever seen.
