7. Andrade El Idolo
And now, on this episode of wrestlers who should have met in WWE but never did comes Andrade El Idolo and Claudio Castagnoli.
Castagnoli and Idolo (both under different names at the time, of course) never got the chance to face off one-on-one on WWE television. The former Andrade Cien Almas spent most of his time on NXT, and even when he did break onto the main roster (and lost his surnames), he never got a televised dance in the ring with The Swiss Superman. The pair only shared one house show match in Zurich, so it's time to point the cameras at them.
Seeing them do battle in an AEW ring has all the potential to be a show-stealer. They're both great storytellers and have flashy styles that suit their individual personas. The pair could chuck out a bunch of ingenious maneuverers against each other, with feats of strength and agility bouncing all about the place and leading to a stimulating watch.
They're bound to have excellent chemistry and would no doubt put on one hell of a show.
