Poor, poor Adam Cole (Baybay!). This former Bullet Club member and winner of the Owen Hart Cup hasn't had the best of weeks. The insensitive comments about his body from Booker T got him off to a bad start, and his concussion during the IWGP Forbidden Door fatal-four-way dampened the ending to what was a really good match.
Things really aren't going his way right now. However, here's hoping he makes a speedy recovery for the sake of his health and to give him a chance to show everyone why he is so special in the first place. One good way to deliver on that once he's back in action is to put him in the ring with Castagnoli.
Cole and Castagnoli would surely deliver on something spectacular here as they're both incredibly charismatic wrestlers, dependable workers and real-life friends - as seen on the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. There are also plenty of storytelling foundations here, thanks to their connections to ROH and the events of Forbidden Door. He's also yet another star Castagnoli never met in WWE.
Cole is a stunning professional wrestler, and this match would be a fantastic chance to ensure everyone remembers that.
