10 Wrestlers CM Punk MUST Face In AEW
2. Jon Moxley
Wrestling can be an extraordinary industry, as there are times where the stories simply write themselves, and this is one of them.
In WWE, the final days of CM Punk saw him feuding with The Shield, leading to a match with Seth Rollins that he openly called "garbage" on Twitter, before his time with the company would teeter out and he'd leave.
Punk has claimed a few times that he was the real architect of The Shield, stating that the stable was his idea. Thanks to this, you can quickly point towards the Second City Saint as the man who helped launch the former Dean Ambrose's career, which has now brought him to the absolute pinnacle of All Elite Wrestling.
There's unfinished business between these two, and they both act as perfect examples of how WWE's tight/restrictive creative can put a dampener on wrestling personas. Finally seeing them return to action against each other with the full support of AEW and more creative freedom would make for a true delight.
They've put on some great matches before in WWE, so imagine what they could do when they're able to be themselves.
