10 Wrestlers CM Punk MUST Face In AEW

As discussed in the last entry, stories in wrestling often fall into your lap thanks to real-life events, and this is one that's primed for some tension. Personal turmoil between performers has been used many times to generate classic feuds, with two prominent examples being Matt Hardy/Edge and Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels. CM Punk and Colt Cabana certainly have real-life drama that can be translated to the screen.

After leaving WWE, it seemed that Punk would fully need the support of his friends, one of the closest being beloved comedy wrestler Colt Cabana. Sadly, there would be a dramatic falling out between the two after Punk appeared on Cabana's podcast and criticised WWE's medical competence. A legal dispute between Cabana/Punk ensued after they were both taken to court by Dr Christopher Amaan, and there was tension due to the legal fees.

Naturally, the two are not on the best terms, so placing them into a programme together might not be wholesome, but it would be full of emotion. The pair could either rectify their friendship, giving fans a bright spot in this whole saga, or deliver on an incredibly intense showdown that would give us a glimpse into a darker side of Cabana.

Drawing on the real-life dispute wouldn't be easy, but it would make for fantastic TV.
