10 Wrestlers Cursed By Their Undefeated Streaks

5. Braun Strowman

With trousers that looked like he'd p*ssed himself and a finisher that only really looked good when used on James Ellsworth, could Braun Strowman really advance beyond the level of any briefly-pushed WWE beefcake?

Massively so.

The palette-cleansing 2016 brand split gave new life and opportunity to a host of potential megastars milling around on WWE's roster at the time, with the 'Monster Among Men' one of the original standouts.

An unbeatable wrestler rapidly became an impossible human, with the throaty wail of "BRAUN" as his entrance music sting matching the crowd's roar as he marched to the ring to deliver another brutal beatdown to whichever feckless victim lay in wait.

His first ever loss to Roman Reigns around eight months into his post-Wyatt Family tenure wasn't even the deathblow - Strowman started tipping ambulances et al after that - but the carelessness of his cause without a 'Big Dog' to hunt.

No Mercy 2017 was the final destination for his dominance. A demeaning defeat to Brock Lesnar brought about the end of his unbeatable aura, and it's been stop-start ever since.
