10 Wrestlers Cursed By Their Undefeated Streaks

6. Asuka

Asuka, as of writing, has been recovered yet again thanks to a quality Kabuki Warriors run and a feud with Becky Lynch built around the fact that the 'Empress Of Tomorrow' actually beat somebody on the main roster once upon a time.

Charlotte Flair's streak-ending WrestleMania 34 win over the former NXT icon would have been bigger in times gone by, but those f*ckers aren't coming back no matter how much we wish they were. Asuka's loss here wasn't the start of a wider arc or a curious character twist, nor was the result itself a "WrestleMania Moment" in the aftermath, because WWE simply didn't give a toss about the follow-up.

Flair herself was the victim of a Carmella Money In The Bank cash-in, shortly before Asuka became a victim of 'The Princess Of Staten Island' full stop, thanks to the depressing return of James Ellsworth. The state of that sentence.

A talent too good to be denied, Asuka's various defangings have been no less depressing - especially in their crushing inevitability.
