10 Wrestlers Daniel Bryan MUST Face In AEW
8. Andrade Il Idolo
WWE allowing Andrade to walk away seemed like madness at the time, but if it gives us the chance to see him take on Bryan in a meaningful way, then it’ll wind up feeling like fate. The two locked horns on Smackdown during the “New” Daniel Bryan days, but anyone who saw the main roster’s treatment of the Mexican star will be able to guess just how good that was.
While AEW’s presentation of Andrade hasn’t been perfect thus far, it’s clear they understand that he’s A Big Deal. A proper dramatic drag out with Bryan - something akin to Andrade’s TakeOver match with Johnny Gargano - could be exactly what we need to illustrate his immense star quality and undeniable class in the ring.
Andrade’s cocky heel persona is magic - he’s slick, he’s money personified - and he could hardly have a better potential opponent than the humble, earthy, but utterly ruthless Daniel Bryan.
It’s not as fresh as some of the other options AEW have before them simply because the two have fought before, but this would be a brilliant new start for all parties. The possibilities are endless.
