10 Wrestlers Fans Most Want To See In WWE's UK Tournament

8. El Ligero

Even if you’ve only watched a handful of British independent shows in your time, you’re probably familiar with El Ligero. The “Mexican Sensation” is absolutely everywhere, and is said to wrestle a whopping 300+ matches a year. This marks him as one of the busiest and most in-demand wrestlers in the company, and you only need to watch the guy to understand why.

El Ligero is a tremendous high-flyer, and one of the country’s absolute best in that department. Whether working as a flashy babyface or a douchebag heel as part of PROGRESS Wrestling’s The Origin, Ligero is always wildly entertaining. He never fails to deliver on big occasions, and while his gimmick is relatively straightforward, El Ligero’s acrobatics are absolutely deserving of a bigger spotlight.

Having recently lost his WCPW Internet Championship to Cody Rhodes, a slot in the UK tournament could be exactly what Ligero needs to bounce back. He’s already had a brief moment in the spotlight as a participant on TNA’s British Bootcamp series, and, as a veteran of the UK scene, he’d be a real credit to the WWE ecosystem.
