10 Wrestlers Fans Most Want To See In WWE's UK Tournament

9. Nick Aldis

Better known as TNA’s Magnus, Nick Aldis has been rather quiet since leaving Dixie Carter’s promotion in 2015. Aldis has worked a few dates for Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling and currently stands as their Global Champion, but the company’s shows are few and far between, and Aldis makes only fleeting appearances on the independent scene between them.

It’s a shame he’s fallen out of the spotlight, because Aldis is much improved from his early TNA days. A former UK Gladiator, Aldis brings a strong mix of technical and power-based offense to the table, and he’s no slouch on the microphone either. More importantly, Aldis exudes the all-important superstar aura that WWE crave for, and given his impressive size (6’4”, 242lbs), you’d have thought Vince McMahon would’ve signed him up by now.

Nonetheless, Aldis would make an excellent addition to the tournament. His style would be an excellent contrast to the competition’s smaller wrestlers, and he’d immediately stand out among the competition. Moreover, if WWE do decide to parlay this into a weekly TV show based in the UK, Aldis would be an ideal building block. With his fiancee Mickie James set to return to WWE in 2017, perhaps Aldis will follow suit.
