10 Wrestlers Fans Would Love To See Go Back To NXT

7. Aiden English

Rusev and Aiden English were easily two of the biggest missed opportunities in WWE this year.

The team, collectively known as Rusev Day, were massively popular all through 2018, and when the duo finally entered a storyline together, with English turning on Rusev, fans had high hopes.

Sadly, those hopes were never realised, as the storyline fizzled out after just a few weeks and a three minute match on SmackDown. Since then, we haven't seen or heard from English, whilst Rusev has entered a programme with United States Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura.

English was very popular down in NXT alongside Simon Gotch, where they won the NXT Tag Team Championships as The Vaudevillains. English's singing gimmick would translate well with the NXT audience, who tend to prefer sillier, more outlandish gimmicks. So its likely that English would be popular once again if he were to head back to NXT.

If WWE aren't going to do anything with English, then they might as well use his talents somewhere they will be appreciated. Unless WWE have big plans for Aiden and Rusev going into the new year, NXT is definitely the best place for him.
