There have been quite a few female performers who have raised the ire of the locker room throughout the years (Chyna in 2000/2001 springs to mind) but nobody touches Melina when it comes to divas getting backstage heat. MNM - Mercury, Nitro and Melina - were one of the hottest acts on Smackdown in 2005 and Melina received glowing reviews for her performances. Unfortunately, those reviews went straight to her head and Melina started believing her own hype. Things got so bad that Melina was taken to Wrestler's Court (a backstage kangaroo court) at 4am during a tour of Australia in February 2006. According to Paul London and Brian Kendrick, the wrestlers were taking bets on how long it would take her to cry. Very few of the divas seemed to get on with Melina. Lita once kicked her out of the locker room for failing to shake hands and Sharmell almost punched her lights out, stemming from the fight between Sharmell's husband Booker T and Melina's not-so-secret lover Batista. Then there was a long-running feud with Mickie James stemming from the time the two spent in OVW together, with Melina referring to James as a 'slut' in a blog post on her official site. Melina was considered a 'head case' backstage and has a long list of people who dislike her in the business. Although her attitude improved somewhat towards the end of her run in WWE, very few were sad to see her go.
