10 Wrestlers Having An Incredible 2022
4. Jon Moxley
Roman Reigns may claim to be working in God Mode but it’s his former stablemate, already no slouch, who has levelled up to being a God tier worker this year. The guy is a stand out talent even in a company with genius in-ring storytellers like CM Punk and Bryan Danielson. Moxley is a man working at best in the world level right now. Both his matches and his convincing, bad-ass, antihero character work have been top notch.
If you just took his work elevating Wheeler YUTA and forming the Blackpool Combat Club, Mox would still qualify for this list. That was before an unfortunate injury to CM Punk gave Moxley a second chance to be AEW’s tippy top guy. And it’s in front of adoring crowds this time.
Mox has delivered a string of bangers as Interim Champion and that’s just his work for AEW. Plenty of wrestlers would kill for a run as GCW world champion. That’s just what Mox does in his spare time.
The real life Jonathan Good had a tough time in 2021, having to take a sabbatical and go into rehab. Having fought and won against his personal demons, Mox deserves every bit of his 2022 success.
