In a company that actually allows their talent to have a good time in their home towns, AEW babyfaces are regularly treated like heroes on home turf. Even charismatic heels MJF and Britt Baker are clutched to the collective bosoms of Long Island and Pittsburgh respectively. For a while there, FTR were the exception that proved that rule.
The Revival were two guys that had become masters and champions of tag team wrestling in a company that clearly didn’t value the division. It’s no wonder fans were excited to see what they could do in AEW. Sadly, for a while they failed to live up to those massive expectations. Finding their in ring form and delivering fire promos, Dax and Cash won raves for a pair of blistering wars against The Briscoe Brothers. Now, “Seven Star FTR” often get the biggest pop on any given night.
Both men have had an incredible year, but Dax has been most impressive. Not only for a string of singles performances that have forced him into wrestler of the year conversations but for promising to “fight like an eight year old girl.”
