10 Wrestlers Who Left WWE Due To Injuries

5. Mick Foley

Officially, Foley's retirement came at the hands of Triple H at No Way Out 2000. However, he returned a matter of weeks later at WrestleMania XVI. After that he wouldn't wrestle again for four years. The injuries Foley sustained during a long career that took him all over the world would have ended any man. Officially, Foley suffered a broken jaw, two broken noses, a broken cheekbone, four lost front teeth, two-thirds of an ear ripped off, a separated shoulder, a fractured shoulder, a dislocated shoulder, second degree burns on his shoulder and arm, a broken wrist, broken chips in his elbow, six broken ribs, a torn abdominal, a torn ACL, a broken toe and has received over 300 stitches to his arms, head eyebrows, hands, ears, shin, cheek and lip. That's not mention countless bumps on concrete and thumb tacks plus numerous concussions from chair shots and bad landings. He could have suffered a lot more than this. Mick has openly talked about how his exploits in the ring left him unable to do simple things such as bending over to put on his socks. Despite this, he would return to the ring on a number of occasions in WWE and on the independent before a three year stint in TNA. His appearances at WrestleMania XX and XXII almost stole the show while he would narrowly lose to Randy Orton in a hardcore match for the Intercontinental Championship at Backlash 2004.
