10 Wrestlers Who Left WWE Due To Injuries

4. Arn Anderson

Befunky Arn Anderson 01 Here we have another story of wear and tear. Arn officially announced his retirement from the ring in August 1997 following extensive neck and upper back injuries. He had been inactive for a while and made the emotional announcement in the ring surrounded by fellow Horsemen Ric Flair, Steve McMichael and Chris Benoit. This would be Anderson's last act as 'enforcer'. This came as a bit of a shock to the wrestling world as Arn was only 39 years old. Kevin Nash and the NWO famously did a parody of the speech, something Arn didn't care for. During his career Anderson wrestled for the NWA, WCW and WWE holding numerous titles including the WCW Television Championship and WWE Tag Team Championships. Anderson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 and currently works as a road agent/producer for the company.
