10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Never The Same After Returning From Injury
10. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler may not be a very obvious choice for this list as he is still an active performer in WWE. The man believed by many to be the hardest working Superstar in Vince McMahon's company is still bringing fans to their feet and wowing crowds with his ability every night. However while his ring work has been top notch as always, Ziggler's place in the WWE pecking order has not been the same at all. Dolph was the World heavyweight champion in 2013 and it was a spot that he seemed very comfortable in. Finally, Ziggler had a real chance at glory, finally he had achieved his dreams and fans saw him for the deserving Superstar that he was. They supported him, they appreciated him and they respected him. The pop he got when he beat Alberto Del Rio for the title said it all; fans were ready to see Dolph as a top guy because he had earned it. That run was not meant to be though, as a concussion suffered at the hands of Jack Swagger completely stopped Dolph's forward progress and essentially ended his rise up the ladder in WWE. Since then, Ziggler has been nowhere close to being a steady main event threat. Despite the fact that he is likely physically okay, the fact is that the company has pulled back from his rise like a hand from a fire. The concussion was just the latest injury in Dolph's career and it has arguably been the reason he is still at mid-card level.
