Like Tonga Loa, Trent Beretta had his start in WWE developmental and as a bit player on the main roster. Upon leaving the company in 2013, Beretta soon made his mark in PWG as well as New Japan. Joining the CHAOS stable, Trent has seen much success as a junior heavyweight and tag team specialist. Most notably, he teamed with CHAOS mate Rocky Romero as "Roppongi Vice," winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships four times over three years.

After Beretta's graduation into the heavyweight division, he and best friend Chuck Taylor participated in the 2017 World Tag League, achieving moderate success. In his new division, however, he found his biggest success in Wrestle Kingdom 12 this year, where he, Tomohiro Ishii, and Toru Yano won the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles. However, he soon met a setback as he tore a triceps in February.

Now that he's returned to action, however, Beretta would be an excellent option to consider for next year's G1. He's an established presence in New Japan thanks to his affiliation with CHAOS, and he has a natural likability that would only be doubled if he brought Chuckie T as his cornerman.

The Best Friends in the G1 is what we as fans deserve, darn it!
