10 Wrestlers NJPW Should Consider For Next Year's G1 Tournament

7. Tanga Loa

Shinsuke Nakamura
NJPW

You may recognise Tanga Loa from his run in WWE. A former FCW tag team champion, the son of Haku was most well-known as Hunico (AKA Sin Cara)'s bodyguard Camacho. Since his release in 2014, Loa has joined the New Japan roster and aligned himself with brother Tama Tonga. As part of the Bullet Club, the "Guerrillas of Destiny" have won the IWGP Tag Team Championships three times, and with Bad Luck Fale, have captured the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles twice.

Despite achieving respectable success, Loa has not seen much action in a singles capacity, and he's mainly been portrayed as "the other Tongan" in Bullet Club next to Bad Luck Fale and Tama Tonga. However, all three have been given a more prominent role in the wake of their split from the "Bullet Club Elite" as they seek to bring the group back to its core values. In that spirit, Loa has seen a ton of action as a cornerman and tag parter for both Tama and Fale throughout the G1 tour. He's played a heavy part in both men's storylines, interfering on their behalf in all their matches.

While mainly unproven as a singles man, it would still be nice to see Tanga Loa be allowed to become his own man, especially when he's shown the charisma and stage presence to warrant fans' interest.
