Wrestlers don't have to be stiff or shoot fighters to be feared. Others, like the inconspicuous Roger Smith, were scary for other reasons. Jim Cornette has spoken on his podcast about how Smith (who once wrestled as Dusty parody 'Dirty Rhodes' and was part of The Assassins) creeped everyone out with his lifestyle.

He told Corny one day that he felt like killing himself and "taking all of his friends with him". That prompted the loudmouth manager to nervously joke that he was never fond of Roger.
