10 Wrestlers Other Wrestlers Were Scared Of

5. Brian Pillman

If Brian Pillman's 'Loose Cannon' gimmick was an ice cream flavour, it'd be anything other than vanilla.

He completely reinvented his fortunes by creating an off-the-wall character and convincing several in the industry that he'd lost his damn mind. 'Loose Cannon' became something Pillman played relentlessly in and out of the ring; Eric Bischoff has spoken about times he and others genuinely feared for Bri's sanity.

It was all a work, but not many knew that. The fact he was able to tear down established relationships with people he'd known for years and reposition himself as someone to be feared is astonishing. In the mid-90s, there were few better at working the boys than Brian Pillman. People actually believed he was crazy.

His short-lived stay in ECW turned heads, and his ability to work WCW into releasing him so he could sign for great money in the WWF was super-villain like genius. Everything about Pillman's run as the character reeked of psychotic behaviour only a deranged soul could dream up.
