10 Wrestlers That Could Be Kurt Angle's Mystery Feud

8. Samoa Joe

One of Angle's greatest ever opponents, Samoa Joe has extensive history with the Olympic Gold Medallist, and knows only too well the physical and mental journey he'd need to travel in order to bring down his new gaffer.

Kurt has been Joe's boss once before, convincing him to join the malevolent 'Main Event Mafia' stable in TNA during a challenging spell for the 'Samoan Submission Machine'. Whilst WWE may not be too keen to acknowledge that end of their prior relationship, they would be foolish not to reference the incredible battles the pair fought during their time in what was once considered the Number Two wrestling promotion in the world.

Joe knows how to beat Kurt, and also how to hurt him. A demeaning assault on Angle's confidence could leave him exposed should he choose to make an in-ring return.

However, it may be a pipe dream. Now set to take on Brock Lesnar at July's Great Balls Of Fire pay-per-view following victory in Sunday's Fatal Five Way main event over the best of the rest on Raw, Joe may have his hands full with one of Kurt's other lifelong rivals. Raw's other superlative antagonist schedule may have just cleared following his own Extreme Rules victory though...
