8. Undertaker Cements His Relationship With Paul Bearer

"Paul, I have no choice...Rest In Peace", said The Undertaker after he'd just endured a 14:42 battle with The Dudley Boyz and we had all just endured a 14:42 battle between The Undertaker and The Dudley Boyz.

The main event of The Great American Bash 2004 (the main event) saw Undertaker fight to win back his Urn from Paul Heyman and win back the freedom of Paul Bearer, all while a third Paul probably sat at home in Greenwich, CT, relieved that he'd been drafted back to Raw for Bubba Ray and D-Von to avoid this total f*cking sh*tshow.

It was a handicap Concrete Crypt match, what else would the stakes be?!

Anyway, 'Taker's words came after winning the match. He's saved Bearer, but then, trapped in an existential crisis, realised he needed to let him go. Bearer had become a weakness for villains to target in a way 'The Deadman' simply couldn't be a*sed with anymore, as per this particular tale between them.

It was hard to know if Undertaker was blowing out of his *ss or talking out of it as he delivered the bad news before pulling the lever - this kayfabe write-off of his former manager was particularly deranged even for these two.
