10 Wrestlers That Knew They Were Saying Something Stupid As They Said It

2. Undertaker Gets Back In The Driver's Seat

The Undertaker has said a lot of sh*t in his time, but so little of it can justifiably apply to a list like this for the very reason he's been able to carry on doing the gimmick for over three decades.

He's committed to the bit, he generally believes enough in the content, and he believes in the overall cause of getting himself and his opponent for the betterment of the business that has made him a household name. Just like he did when he played demonic taxi driver for Stephanie McMahon in 1999 - it was easy to be the silliest ever version of himself when it was making him more money than he'd seen in nearly ten years working for the company.

When he brought the bullsh*t back years later for Teddy Long, he knew exactly how daft it was.

"BUCKLE UP TEDDY?!" was a line delivered with the type of pantomime villainy it required because it was, in the setting it existed in, utterly ridiculous. The very staging of it all was an escape from the norm and the seriousness of 'The Deadman's lingering issues with the SmackDown General Manager. Again, he'd read the room - had he actually approached this earnestly, it simply wouldn't have worked.
