10 Wrestlers That Shouldn't Have Lost Their WrestleMania Debuts

6. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan was initially set to make his WrestleMania 27 in a United States Championship match with Sheamus, but the bout was scrapped from the main show and relegated to being a dark match, never to be seen by anyone but the live crowd. In a strange twist of fate, the two found each other in a WrestleMania match against each other the following year as well, this time for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Thus, there was zero chance they would be cut from the card again, but that didn't mean they wouldn't have their time shortened comically significantly.

Bryan had a nice reign as world champion going into the event and fans were anxious to see what kind of classic he and Sheamus would contest on the grand stage. Instead, the match was over in a whopping 18 seconds when Sheamus blindsided Bryan with a Brogue Kick to score the victory and his first World Heavyweight Championship.

Needless to say, it was a less-than-stellar WrestleMania debut for The American Dragon. Then again, it served as the catalyst to the ever-popular "Yes!" chant that was in full force at WrestleMania in Miami, making it hard to rank the injustice much higher.

Who knows if he would have been as over with the audience if he looked strong in defeat versus The Celtic Warrior and if history would have been different.
