10 Wrestlers That WWE Are Failing Right Now

7. Shorty G

At least she's not called 'Shorty'.

Chad Gable is treated like a nuisance by WWE's writing team. They know he's talented, and they presumably know he deserves better, but nobody really knows what to do with him or where he fits into the product. As a result, Shorty G is the butt of lame height jokes and wrapped up in a going-nowhere 'King's Ransom' angle.

Recent episodes of SmackDown have directly failed to explain why Shorty is so keen to ambush Matt Riddle from behind. Does 'King' Corbin have obscene wealth to offer? If so, how much? If he's not earning cash for the gig, then what is Gable's main motivation? A better spot on the roster? So many questions, so few answers.

They don't appear to be forthcoming either. WWE are more likely to forget about this ransom business ASAP and move Shorty into another shoved-together tag-team with a fellow Friday night no-hoper. You could probably bet money on that happening. How much though? Who knows.
