9. WrestleMania XV - Ken Shamrock

Speaking of disappointing WrestleManias, 'Mania XV was such a mess when you reflect on it. It was overbooked and a lot of the matches failed to deliver on the night. When X-Pac versus Shane McMahon is one of the best matches of the evening, you know you're in trouble. The Undertaker was in the worst match on the show, facing The Big Boss Man inside Hell in a Cell. The appearance of the Cell was no doubt a draw to a lot of fans after the antics of The Undertaker and Mankind a year before but the two men did nothing of note foe ten boring, poorly-executed minutes. Both men were heels, which really hurt the crowd heat, and the post-match angle with The Brood 'hanging' The Boss Man was deeply distasteful. Had The Undertaker faced Ken Shamrock, however, the results could have been very different. Well, 'Taker would have still won, but the match surely would have been a whole lot better. Shamrock was involved in a throwaway four-way over the Intercontinental Championship on the undercard and, really, the WWF should have been doing more to push the former UFC star. The WWF did present a Shamrock versus Undertaker match one month later at Backlash and while it wasn't to everyone's taste, it was a very interesting clash of styles and a preview of the submission-based style that 'Taker would adopt years later. Still, you have to believe the match would have been a whole lot better at WrestleMania. If one match
